On January 16, Jonathan Dollhopf ran into the Representative in the hallway. He thanked her for her cosponsorship and gave her a button and got a picture. A few hours later, several members of ADAPT visited the office to thank them for their work and to discuss future actions they could take to support the DIA.

On January 8, Sophie Poost stopped by the office and asked to meet with someone. She was told to email Dan Riffle and he would respond quickly. She agreed to email him but she would also return in an hour. Dan responded to her that no one could meet with them for the next 2-3 weeks then followed up asking who the sponsor was. Sophie responded that it was Sensenbrenner and asked if that meant AOC would be on the bill. Dan said they would brief her on the bill. Sophie returned to the office and asked to meet with Dan again so that he had a better understanding before briefing AOC. The front desk staffer reiterated that she needed to email to set up a meeting. Sophie asked to sit on the couch to send the email. After about an hour, Dan came out and said they had all of the information about the bill. Sophie stressed the urgency of the bill. Dan said he would brief AOC and email immediately as soon as he knew her decision.

On December 28 and then January 4, Sophie Poost sent emails to Saikat Chakrabarti, her publicly named Chief of Staff. There has been no response. She has also called the office 3 separate times and was sent straight to voicemail, which was full 2 of 3 times.
