We met with Congressman Scallice's LD, Greg Watson and gave our support letters from the NDLA and Coalition for Community Integration. We mentioned the meeting he had with Dara Baldwin a few weeks prior. He said we can reach out again for an update in a week.

On 4/2/2019 - Dara met with Scalise staff - Fred Trowbridge - LA - great meeting. He read the bill and loves it - his grandmother is one person who would benefit from the bill. He will discuss with his boss Geoffrey Green the LD. Greg Watson is the Health staffer - not the committee staffer on this. But I looped him in on the thank you email which was sent to Geoffrey, Fred and him - with all the information on the bill. Rep. Scalise probably will not get on the bill as a leader of the R side- but he will talk with his fellow E&C R members to get them on board. I will follow up with the office at the end of April.

On 4/8/2019 - Dara sent follow up email to Jessica Lewis (ED of SILC) to find out about the request of a support letter from the Gov and/or the State Department.

Sent an email to Jessica Lewis (ED of SILC) and asked her to get letter from Gov and Dept. of Health. Also asked her to get some LA advocates to ask Rep. Scalise to get on as a Cosposnor. He has a good record on MDCD and is now a PWD he should be on this bill. I will follow up with her in a week.
