Message and Talking Points
Stephanie Woodward writes on 1/23/2019 at 10:29AM:
I am reaching out to ask if Representative Velazquez will cosponsor the Disability Integration Act again. The DIA was reintroduced last week as HR. 555 (and in the Senate it was introduced by Minority Leader Schumer as S. 117). The bill is both bicameral and bipartisan, and already has 52 cosponsors in the House. Last session Rep. Velazquez cosponsored the bill, then known as HR 2472. The bill is substantially the same with minor technical edits which were suggested by AARP.
Will Representative Velazquez cosponsor DIA?
Stephanie Woodward, J.D.
Co-chair of the Disability Integration Act Workgroup
