Sophie Poost writes on 1/31/2019 at 11:59AM:
S. Poost sent the following meail to Erin Meegan on 1/31:
I???m with the national grassroots disability rights group, ADAPT, and I know a few of us have been trying to get a hold of you to discuss Representative Rose???s stance on the Disability Integration Act (DIA). The DIA was introduced on January 15th as HR. 555 (and in the Senate it was introduced by Minority Leader Schumer as S. 117). The bill is both bicameral and bipartisan, and already has 92 cosponsors in the House. I???m attaching basic information on the bill as an overview. Several other New York Representatives are on the bill including Serrano, Delgado, Ocasio-Cortez, and Clarke; we would love to see Representative Rose added as a co-sponsor of the Disability Integration Act. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to me. If Representative Rose would like to be added as a cosponsor you can reach out to Amy Bos in Representative Sensenbrenner???s office.
Will Representative Rose cosponsor DIA?
She then forwarded the email to Constituents CIL's for further pressure.
