On February 20, 2019, Sophie Poost emailed Meghann Galloway asking if Representative Cardenjas would cosponsor the DIA. On February 21, Meghann Galloway sent the following response:

Hi Sophie,

Sorry for the delayed response. I am in the process of running this up internally, but absent any surprises I expect the Congressman will support again. This is certainly an issue he cares about, and I really appreciate you flagging to make sure it is on our radar.
