Laura called McEachin's DC office and asked the Congressman to recosponsor HR555. Staffer took the bill number and Laura's name and address and logged it into the system.

E. Jones called McEachin's D.C. office and James told her that Blair Wriston was unavailable to speak. After asking for a voicemail to leave a message, James agreed to take a message to pass along to Blair. E. Jones then followed up via email to Blair and Justin Goldberger.

Received follow up email from Blair that they are still reviewing the legislation and the materials we shared previously, which included redline of the bill. Blair said they let you know if they have any additional questions.

I responded to the email and sent a link to ADAPT's letter to House Dems and stated our goal is to have DIA passed in the House by the ADA anniversary in July 2019.

Sent email to Blair and another staffer Justin Goldberger Justin.goldberger@mail.house.gov to see if they had any questions about the redline version of the bill they were given when meeting with ADAPT on April 10 and when the congressman would be cosponsoring HR555.
In the email I included Amy Bos's contact info to sign up as a cosponsor.

On April 10, S. Woodward, S. Poost, and K. Carroll met with BlairWriston and L. Halvorson called in. They reviewed the redline version with him and discussed theprevious support from the Representative. Blair agreed to a followup before Easter.

Laura also forwarded the NCIL Action alert to Resources for Independent Living in Richmond asking for their help getting McEachin signed onto DIA again.
