On August 30th, 2018, C4CI sent an email to Kate LaBorde (Kate.LaBorde@mail.house.gov) asking why is not a cosponsor of DIA and whether the representative would commit to being an initial co-sponsor of DIA if elected to the next Congress.

Sent following email:

Good Morning Kate and Jeffery,

I am reaching out to you to follow up on visits that the Disability Community has had with your office requesting that Congressman Biggs cosponsor the Disability Integration Act (HR 2472). Members of the Disability Community met with staff in the Congressman???s D.C. office in January and in June, and both times were asked to follow up with information via email to you two.

I have attached a packet of information which includes a two pager explaining the bill, a letter from Congressman Sensenbrenner (R-WI) asking members of Congress to cosponsor this bill that he introduced, as well as letters of support from organizations across the United States, attorneys who work on disability rights issues, and the Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities.

The Disability Integration Act is a bi-partisan bill with widespread support across our nation, including support from Ability 360 and Paralyzed Veterans of America. This bill, which assures the Constitutional Rights of life and liberty for disabled Americans is supported by Congresswoman McMorris-Rodgers (R-WA) and Congressman Lamborn (R-CO) among many others.

We know that Congressman Biggs has always been a strong supporter of liberty which is why we are asking the Congressman to support the Disability Integration Act ??? because all Americans, including disabled Americans, have the right to life and liberty.

If you have any questions, please let me know.
