Dear Kevin,
I am writing on behalf of the Disability Community to thank Representative Dingell for their sponsorship of the Disability Integration Act in the last Congress. We will be holding an event in the U.S. Capitol on January 15th to celebrate the bill???s reintroduction. We would like to announce the Representative as an original cosponsor of the bill at the event. Would you please confirm the Representative???s intention to be an original cosponsor on the legislation? We would be grateful for their leadership in helping ensure that all disabled Americans have the right to live in freedom. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Sophie Poost

Ellen Taverna writes on 6/29/2018 at 3:09PM:
Ellen Taverna, Stephanie Woodward and Gregg Beratan met with Kevin Dollhopf, Health LA, on 6/28/18. Kevin is confident Congresswoman Dingell will sign onto the DIA. She is a long supporter on disability issues and on the House Disabilities Caucus. Her husband (Former Congressman Dingell) utilizes a motorized scooter and she introduced the EMPOWER Care Act. We discussed other MI reps to approach. We???ll follow up in early July to make sure Dingell is a cosponsor.

Ericka Jones writes on 5/23/2018 at 1:41PM:
ADAPT met with Kevin Dollhopf on May 16th. He seemed very positive about D.I.A. and commented that they were "preaching to the choir". Rep has backed other disability related legislation and ADAPT members were asked to follow up within a week. As ADAPT members were leaving, they even met with the representative in the hallway and she though she was already signed on to D.I.A.
