From Sheryl Grossman, 7/24/18
I and a large group from MD met with Marc Broady, Cousel and Policy Advisor. He remembered me and we talked DIA and MFP among other things. He seemed interested (as he did before). Katie expressed disappointment that he has said these things before, but has not yet signed on. Cheryl and Amity who is his constituent reiterated how frustrating it has been to get an appointment and to get sign ons for these bills that seem to be in the interest area of the Congressman. Marc said he would bring the concerns to the Congressman. This needs follow up still.

November 13, 2017: Gregg, Sheryl, and Laura went to office to follow up on previous visits but staff wasn't available. Followed up with staffer Todd Phillips via email who is handing disability policy while woman usually handling it is on maternity leave. Todd said they only meet with constituents.
Sheryl responded that We have actually met with Cummings staff several times this session regarding this bill already.
Congressman Cummings' constituent, Autry Sellers made the initial appointment and a group met about DIA on July 25, 2017. Met with a woman, whose name Sheryl can't remember.. At the conclusion of the meeting it was agreed that a smaller group who are on the Hill regularly would be the ones following up.
Sheryl had another meeting with the same woman on a subsequent visit. She admitted that she had not yet brought it to the attention of the Congressman, but that we should follow up in about a week.
A few weeks later Sheryl met with Mark Broady who said that the previous staff member had gone out on maternity leave and indicated that he would be the point person on this bill. He indicated that there did not seem to be any red flags with the bill and assured us that it was probably just an oversight that he was not signed on yet. He suggested we give him a week or two before following up.
Currently awaiting response from Cummings staffer Todd on this.
