Staff and board members from DIRECT CIL in Tucson (our service area covers part of the representative's district) met with Xenia Ruiz, Legislative Director, and talked about how DIA is already in line with the movement in public long term care in Az. We also mentioned the bipartisan support of the bill and the support of groups like the Paralyzed Veterans of America. She asked that we check back with her in a week to confirm that the representative will sponsor the bill.
