Ericka Jones, Jonathan Dollhopf Jennifer Disch and Gregg Beratan met with Elizabeth Brown From Rep. Caster's office. We went through what the bill did an why it was so important. She asked about the nature of LTSS and seemed pleased to hear that this wasn't about introducing new services but rather ensuring that existing services are offered in the community. She said she would talk to the representative about the bill.

E. Jones contacted the rep's local CIL "Self Reliance" to ask the organization to reach out to Kathy Castor about cosponsoring. Representative from CIL agreed to ask constituents to call.

On 3/27, E. Jones called and emailed Elizabeth Brown. She was told email was the best and fastest way for correspondence.

On 3/14, E. Jones and T. Booska called and emailed asking Kathy Castor to cosponsor again.

T. Booska: I called her office and talk to her aid Patricia who said she didn't see why she wouldn't sign on this session I told her we needed her to sign on immediately and she said she would pass the message along."

On January 8th, E. Jones visited this office. Staff was not available to speak but she took the card of Elizabeth Brown (Legislative Director).

On Sept. 7, 2018 ADAPT member Cal Montgomery met with Elizabeth Brown to go through the packet and discuss how this is a consumer/women's/seniors issue. Seemed receptive.

On August 30th, 2018, C4CI sent an email to Elizabeth Brown (Elizabeth.Brown@mail.house.gov) asking why is not a cosponsor of DIA and whether the representative would commit to being an initial co-sponsor of DIA if elected to the next Congress.

On May 16th, ADAPT met with Elizabeth Brown, Legislative Director. She is currently dealing with opiod issues but will follow up in a few weeks with a response. She was somewhat familiar with DIA. Follow up Elizabeth.Brown@mail.house.gov

On April 13, 2016 ADAPT members - as part of the Spring Action Hill Day - provided the office with information about the Disability Integration Act which has already been introduced in the US Senate and asked that the Member of Congress become initial cosponsor this legislation in the House.
