On December 21, Sophie Poost sent the following email to Helena Mastrogianis:
I am writing on behalf of the Disability Community to thank Representative Boyle for their sponsorship of the Disability Integration Act in the last Congress. We will be holding an event in the U.S. Capitol on January 15th to celebrate the bill???s reintroduction. We would like to announce the Representative as an original cosponsor of the bill at the event. Would you please confirm the Representative???s intention to be an original cosponsor on the legislation? We would be grateful for their leadership in helping ensure that all disabled Americans have the right to live in freedom. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
She received an automated message saying Helena was out of the office until January 5.

Brendan Boyle???Mary Beth Hervig, Staff Asst, met with us and took notes, but said she is not the healthcare person, but will pass info. along. She thanked us as she is interested in the personal side of this and she doesn???t often get to hear about this issue because it is not in her issue area. Gave us contact info for Helena Mastrogianis whom I have met with before, Helena.Mastrogianis@mail.house.gov . She said she did not hear and red flags which was a good sign.
