Message and Talking Points
Ellen Taverna writes on 7/09/2018 at 3:12PM:
Ellen Taverna, Stephanie Woodward and Gregg Beratan met with Stephen Holland on 6/28. He said he was familiar with the DIA. He had concerns about restrictions/burdens on Oregon's state LTSS programs that are performing well. There was some misunderstanding on how DIA would impact states like Oregon. We explained that if a state is complying with the transition plan, HHS can increase its FMAP by 5% points for a period of 10 years, which would benefit Oregon if there are already good systems in place. He seemed to get it by the end of the meeting. Stephen wanted us to follow up with him in a few months.
