Rhoda Gibson 04/09/2019 met with Will Pisano since ADAPT met with him yesterday. Will is well versed and said that Congresswoman Kuster should be on as co-sponsor by end of week or by after next recess.

Gregg Beratan writes on 4/08/2019 at 7:43PM:
Ericka Jones, Jonathan Dollhopf, Jennifer Disch and Gregg Beratan met with Will Pisano to discuss Rep. Kuster becoming a cosponsor. He asked questions about how the bill would work, seemed particularly concerned about whether or not it would impose a burden on a state like NH with its lack of a tax base. Seemed assured by an explanation of the FMAP as well as by the lower cost of HCBS. Said he would look at the bill and talk to Rep Kuster to see if it was something she would want to support but he indicated that she was eager to support the Disability Community.

Sophie Poost writes on 3/19/2019 at 3:35PM:
Sophie sent an email to Justin German and Kevin Diamond, regarding the significance during women's history month and Kuster's role in the success of the legislation. She then forwarded the email on to Sarah Reingold (Justin German was out of the office).

visited office on 12/4. sent this email on 12/6:

Hi Kevin and Justin,

I stopped by your office on Tuesday and dropped off a packet about the Disability Integration Act (HR 2472). My visit was to follow up on several visits the Disability Community has made to Congresswoman Kuster's office. In May of 2018 activists from ADAPT met with Justin who stated that he thought that Congresswoman Kuster was already on the bill and that there was a strong possibility the Congresswoman would cosponsor. On July 24th, advocates from the National Council on Independent Living met with Kevin who stated that he did not see why the office would get any push back on this bill.

I know you both must be very busy, but I am writing to ask that Congresswoman Kuster cosponsor the Disability Integration Act before the end of session. Amy Bos from Congressman Sensenbrenner's office is still eagerly accepting new cosponsors. Furthermore, we are anticipating an early reintroduction of the bill in January 2019 and we would like Congresswoman Kuster to be an original cosponsor when it is reintroduced. Will Congresswoman Kuster support the rights of disabled and elderly Americans by cosponsoring the Disability Integration Act?

If you have any questions, I would be happy to get on a call and talk through the bill with you.

Thank you,

Stephanie Woodward
