My name is Justin Young and I am associated with the national disability rights group called ADAPT. ADAPT advocates at the National, State, and Local levels for systematic change ensuring the rights of the Disability community are fulfilled. I left you a voicemail this afternoon regarding this matter, but I am sending this message to request Representative Yarmuth cosponsor the Disability Integration Act (HR555) introduced by Representative Sensenbrenner.
I have attached a handout to this email regarding the bill, but the purpose of this legislation is to ensure we have the right to live in freedom. Many Disabled Americans are forced into Institutions because there is a lack of accessible, affordable, integrated housing. We would appreciate Representative Yarmuth???s support by cosponsoring this important legislation for all Kentuckians and Americans with Disabilities.
ADAPT will be in Washington D.C. next week and if the Representative signs on to the legislation, we would like to stop by and say thank you. Cosponsorship requests may be sent to Amy Bos in Representative Sensenbrenner???s office at email@example.com.
Thank you in advance for looking at the bill and I hope to hear from you in the near future that Representative Yarmuth will cosponsor this legislation.
Justin T. Young
